  1. Bus from Dubrovnik to Split

    This is one of the most common and economical options. There are several bus companies operating routes between Split and Dubrovnik. The journey takes around 4-5 hours depending on the route and stops. One way Dubrovnik-Split (or vice versa) costs around 20 EUR (22 USD) depending on the company, and in summer months it is advisable to book online in advance.

  2. Ferry/Boat from Split to Dubrovnik

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can take a ferry or catamaran from Split to Dubrovnik or other way around. Catamarans/ferries are also a great way to go island hopping and do, for example: Split –Hvar island (spend a day) –Korcula island (spend a day) – Mljet island (spend a day) – Dubrovnik. It takes about 5 hours to reach Dubrovnik from Split, since every catamaran makes additional stops on islands. The catamaran adult tickets Split-Dubrovnik in 2024 are 48-50 EUR depending on the company. It is advisable to book ahead online.

  3. Driving from Dubrovnik to Split by rented car

    Renting a car is also an option if you prefer the flexibility of driving yourself. The journey takes around 3 hours partly through A1 highway (tolls of 7 EUR for car applied) or 4-4,5 hours through the D8 Adriatic Coastal road depending on traffic and road conditions. The D8 route offers beautiful coastal scenery.

    Parking in Dubrovnik – It is very difficult to find free parking in Dubrovnik, so if you are traveling by rent-a-car make sure your accommodation in Dubrovnik provides parking.

    Best in Parking – Garage Ilina Glavica – walking distance to Old Town but summer rates go for 7 EUR per hour, and if you wish to get a daily ticket – enter the garage and go with your entrance ticket immediately to garage office so they stamp it, otherwise, no matter how long you stay, you will be charged hourly!

    Largest parking in Dubrovnik downtown center costs 2 EUR per hour (2,5 EUR in July and August) and 20 EUR for daily ticket in 2024. It is 23 min walk from Dubrovnik Old Town, or just 6 min by public bus number 6, 1a, 1b ( public bus station in front, there are buses every 10 min to the Old Town and back –bus ticket can be purchased in the bus and costs 2 EUR per person)

  4. Private Transfer from Dubrovnik to Split

    You can also arrange for a private transfer, either by taxi or car service. This option offers convenience and flexibility. Direct private transfer without stops takes about 3 hours and price is around 300 EUR one way (personal car 1-3 people) and around 400 EUR for minivan (4-8 people).
